Culture of the United States

So many people are blathering on these days about how we have to protect American Culture from the influx of evil immgrants ... I've even heard it referred to as White Culture (WTF?!). Being as I still carrying with me a good deal of immigrant taint, I have been asking fellow Americans to tell me what American Culture is, and no surprise, they don't seem to have any answer. Maybe Wikipedia can help: Culture of the United States.

And as far as American Culture being White Culture, I wasn't under the impression that all white people had the same culture. I know mine is different from, say, my insane white neighbors, and is likely different from a lot of peoples ... being German/Scots-Irish and all.

Careers and Marriage

Forbes prints sexist male view of marrying "career" women. Many people (i.e. women) are offended, including one of the "career" women in his office. She writes a rebuttal. And so ... the battle of the sexes continues.

It can't be my imagination that I am reading an awful lot more sexist crap in major publications these days, can it? Sexism and racism are thriving again. I feel like we have taken a step 30 or more years into the past.
