Oceangram

Put a message in a bottle and set it adrift on the internet ocean. Hugely time-wasting, which means I love it.

Feature Films

Full length feature films in the public domain and free for the downloading. You won't find this summer's latest blockbuster there, but you will find all the classics.

Chilly Sperm

Israeli soldiers want to freeze their sperm before going into battle.

There used to be a time when if you didn't manage to procure a spouse and reproduce before you died, that was called "life" and "natural selection." I guess those times are past. Now even young men who don't have girlfriends want to be sure their genes survive.

New Family has renewed its efforts to pass a law, drafted by Rosenblum, named the Biological Will Law, that will establish a sperm bank for IDF soldiers, from the first day they are enlisted until they reach age 45, in which they can freeze their sperm. "From this point there are two tracks: one, in which a soldier is, heaven forbid, injured in battle, his partner can be inseminated with his sperm, and a second, in which the soldier's sperm will be transferred by request of his parents to a woman who never knew and never will know the soldier, but who knows his identity, to create an heir for him," explains Rosenblum.

More Socks

You can never have too many sock pattern links.

Poor Poor Kids

"The idea that protecting kids from rejection is crucial to safeguarding their self-esteem has gained momentum in recent years."

And this idea should be stopped dead in its tracks right now. Face it folks, no one goes through life and gets to the end without having to face the crucial facts that not everyone wants to be your friend, and sometimes you don't win.

Let's stop raising wimps, shall we?

Socks and Such

We're Crazy Too

"The rapid spread of Western business practices in Japan has caused widespread mental illness and is responsible for a deepening demographic crisis, government officials say."

Don't feel bad Japan. You aren't the only ones being driven insane by Western business practices.

I See You

Even county fairs need full security camera coverage. You never know when some evil-doers may show up in the pie eating tent.

Protect the Children

"The town is poised to become the state's first municipality to enact an ordinance banning convicted sex offenders from loitering at parks, schools and other places children gather."

They always go after the sex offenders, don't they? I guess it's perfectly OK for murderers to hang out around parks and schools and "other places children gather" ... a phrase that seems silly seeing as I see kids EVERYWHERE. What annoys me about all these new laws and new ways to keep track of sex offenders is this: They are on these lists forever, even after paying their dues for their crimes, all sex offenders aren't child molesters or even rapists, and no other crime haunts someone for the rest of their life the way being labeled a sex offender does.

Do you know that peeing in the UT stadium parking lot after a football game is more than enough to get you labeled a sex offender for the rest of your life? Just keep that in mind the next time someone wants to pass a law that effects sex offenders in order to protect children.
